Since opening in March 2023 we now rent a large area covering two allotments on the Clun Avenue site in Pontyclun.
It is also one of our regular meeting places - Joe's Shed, named in memory of the local man whose widow kindly donated it.
During our first year on the allotment we grew a number of crops and carried out some infrastructure work:
For the 2024 season we are devising a more thought through planting plan and making the beds more accessible
Some of us are experienced growers, and other allotment holders are always happy to share their knowledge, seeds and even fruits of their labours. Other Shed members have few horticultural skills but like to learn or just lend a hand where needed.
Our sessions are always lubricated by tea and coffee and a good chat.
We are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 0930-1230.
If you are planning to visit you can contact us to check it's open on a particular date. Or just drop in on spec.
